At Golden Hour Dog Training, I believe life with your dog should be about connection, not control. Through positive reinforcement, patience, and understanding, my goal is to help you build a relationship rooted in trust, confidence, and cooperation. Every dog and family is different, and training should reflect that. My hope is for our time together to feel like the best hour of your day and for you to see your dog in a new light after we're done.

Golden Hour is also my way of giving back. A portion of every private lesson goes toward my Paws for Safety program, helping educate children and families on dog safety and creating safer, more understanding relationships between kids and dogs. Lastly, I keep this business intimate and small, only handling a few clients at a time in order to keep every training journey feeling personable and unique.

My passion for relationships with our dogs runs deeper than any other motive, which is why this tiny business is dedicated to the golden's who have shaped me and inspired me to do better for all dogs that come after them.

• Book a Free 30 minute consultation over the phone. This is our opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and see if we’re a good fit to start a training journey together.

• Next, you’ll receive a link to schedule your 90-minute in-home assessment. This is where we’ll dig a little deeper into your dog’s history, discuss your concerns and goals, and explore your daily routines to better understand your dog and household.

This visit also gives me the opportunity to meet everyone in the home and see your dog in their everyday environment so we can build a training approach that works for your whole family.

Your assessment includes a starter training kit with:

•A welcome binder filled with foundational training materials

•Enrichment toy and bonus material to help support your dog’s mental stimulation and everyday needs

Kids and Canines lessons are 45 minutes long and will cover:

  • How to recognize when a dog is happy, worried, uncomfortable, or needs space

  • Safe and respectful ways to show affection

This private, in-home session is designed specifically for children and their family dog. Through fun, age-appropriate activities, kids will learn how to understand their dog’s body language, recognize when they need space, interact safely during play and everyday routines, respect boundaries around food, toys and rest, and know when it’s time to get an adult.

    “I am the trainer behind Golden Hour, and throughout the site you’ll see my mascots. Angels in heaven Bella and Ruby, along with our most recent addition, Buff! For them being my world, and for the happiness, comfort and renewal that the golden hour of the day brings, I wanted my business to reflect that. I strive for my dogs to feel safe, happy and excited to train, and aspire to reflect those same devotions to any dog I get the honor to work with.

  • My husband and I have been living in Hastings, NY now for over 9 years and have 3 beautiful children. Outside of my family and working with dogs, I enjoy spending my free time either reading, crafting, hanging out with my friends or volunteering for the PTO at my children’s school.
